I'm leaving in two weeks to go to New Zealand for 2 1/2 weeks. It's basically going to be a "road trip," we've got plane tickets, a rental car, and a place to sleep in Auckland for the first two nights. After that we're going to wander and do what seems cool and interesting. We want to be spontaneous, but at the same time would like to know a few "Don't Miss" spots to visit. We like hiking, and nature, and all that...it will be winter down there but winter on the North Island doesn't seem too bad -- the average temperature is about the same as winter in San Francisco. We also plan to cross over to the South Island.
So...if you had to pick your three most favorite things to see/do in New Zealand, what would they be? |
