| I was trying to take some pictures along the Blue Ridge Parkway in a national park area. It was peaceful and beautiful. Then a huge convoy of motorcycles comes rolling through. They obviously had no mufflers and the noise was deafening. They passed through and then 10 minutes later, along came another convoy. I just don't think it's fair to people who are trying to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and enjoy the peace and beauty of nature to get have to deal with these loud machines. What do you think? |

| I'd tend to agree David. While I'm sure the feel of freedom in nature is all that much greater for those riding the motorcycles it seems fairly inconsiderate to everyone else. Still, I'm not sure how much could be done... national parks are for everyone, not just those with cars. Still, as natural preserves they might be able to emplace some noise polution restrictions that would have universal applicability.... I don't really know though.... :? |

That one strikes me as even worse (as would off road cycles & ATVs, etc.)... as they actually have a harmful impact on the geography and environment of the parks. |
