If you're a student and interested in travel you should know about the International Student Travel Confederation. One of the many services they provide is the ISIC card, good for discounts worlwide! And, as their website says, "The International Student Identity Card (ISIC) is the only internationally accepted student ID card."
I've also found the student discount air fares available to often be as good as anything I can find surfing the web -- probably 8 times out of 10. |

| Another thing -- if you have a student id from your college or university, bring it when you travel. There's be so many times that I could have gotten a discount just for having a college ID but I had it in my school bag (at home) rather than my wallet (with me) so I missed out. |

| Good point Laura, it doesn't do you any good to *be* a student (as far as discounts that is) if you don't have an ID *with you* to prove it! |
