I've heard that there are some really nifty beach resorts in Southern Mexico and also Belize that are very eco-friendly and yet are still quite cushy. I recall reading about how one of them generates their own electricity, how at another you can catch fish off the beach and eat them for dinner, about the snorkeling and jungle walks and that sort of thing. I seem to recall travel writers rhapsodizing about the stars at night, soft sand beaches, luscious fruits and fresh veggies, spa treatments, yoga and so on.
The problem is, I can't recall any names or places.
My husband really needs a 100% relaxing vacation. At first I thought about going on a cruise, but now that I've looked into it I've decided that might even be too much. Going on a cruise is something I'd get him to do for me, I need to find some place that is perfect for him this time.
If anyone has any suggestions, please post them here. I seem to recall that one resort is south of Cancun along the clost, but I don't recall the name or how far away it was. Sigh. |
