I usually fly with Australia Owned Qantas Airlines, They have an amazing safety record, and I have always enjoyed myself during the flight. Also, the frequentl flier miles are great.
I recently flew to the United States for two weeks, and found myself once again on a qantas plane, I had 15 channels to choose from on my own personal TV (In economy) as well as some games on the TV as well. |

I recently read a very good article about airline safety records. The premise of the article was basically that so many people fly on so many flights every day, that when you look at the actual accident statistics the numbers are so small that you are comparing statistically insignficant differences. Here's a URL to the article. It's at the online magazine Salon.com. If you aren't a subscribe you can watch an advertisement to get a "Day Pass" so you can read the article. It only takes a minute or two, and is worth it so you can get to the article.
