Has anyone else, besides me, been to this place?

If you haven't, I highly reccommend it. The island is a secluded place in South Carolina, that is surrounded by the beautiful ocean. The hotels are what makes this place, especially the fantastic Disney resort station there. The restaurants are also great. The ocean is also really fun, except for the black tar that sticks to your feet when you go in. One restaurant that you should definatly go to is teh Salty Dog Cafe, the food is fantastic!

The only downfall to this place is the extreme heat. When we went, the heat was unbearable, but you could always espcape to the ocean or a pool.

I have been to Hilton Head. Yes, the lowcountry heat is oppressive! Also, the "skeeters" can be a problem, especially when the wind is not blowing just so.

Still, the beaches are wonderful and the community is warm and inviting. I just shared some information about Charleston, SC so if you are in the area a trip to Hilton Head Island is certainly worth it.
