Hi Guys,

I am presently studying business administration in birmingham, at a university. My university gives me an option to go on an exchange program to the states next year, there are two univesities i can choose from, the university of okhlahoma or the university of western illinios. I am not as much concerned about the quality of studies as i am about the location  . So it would be great if you can share your opinions on the two places...and suggest which one is better and why ?
cheers
ash

I think there's quite a bit more action in Illinois. Do a search on the exact city you'll be in. If it's anywhere near Chicago, you're going to be having a blast!
Oklahoma, on the other hand, is full of beautiful American countryside, although it does have its share of large(for the coutryside!) cities like Oklahoma City(pop. 444, 700), and Tulsa(367,300). The University of Oklahoma(if the one in Norman is the one you are referring to) has an enrollment of approximately 10,000. There are 2 four-year universities in Illinois- the University of Illinois at Chicago(enrollment over 25,000) and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign(enrollment over 36,000).
Personally, I would opt for the university in Chicago. Check out what each place has to offer, then make your decision. Good luck!

I think western Illinois falls into "tornado alley," too.
