Fjords of Norway
- Get your body moving
Mountain climbing
For the experienced climber, the whole of Fjord Norway is crammed with potential - Jotunheimen, the Romsdal and Sunnmore Alps - there are plenty of exciting mountains.
Summer skiing
There are three summer skiing centres in Fjord Norway, the most famous of which is Stryn Sommerskisenter [Stryn Summer Skiing Centre] on the mountain of Strynefjell although Folgefonna, also, offers good conditions for snowboarding, Telemark skiing and alpine skiing. The Sognefjell mountains offer a well-developed course for cross-country skiing.
Rafting
Jolster Rafting (Sogn og Fjordane) and Voss Rafting arrange trips throughout the summer. Wet trousers guaranteed! This is very funny - you will love it! :)
Water sports
Boats and other water sports equipment can be hired throughout Fjord Norway. Ask the tourist guide about this and they will help out :)
Cycle tours
Fjord Norway offers a wealth of impressive cycle tours. plain and down to the fjord at Flom. Passing through stunning high mountain terrain, the route also takes you to the Navvy Museum where you can stop off to explore the history of how the railway and the road were built.
Other things to do :
- Paragliding
- Horseriding
- Golf
