This is a mysterious place to be...
In Uffington, Oxfordshire, there is a white chalk bedrock that has a horse figure drawn at the side of the hill... Some say that it could have been a dragon. This figure is believed to have been "drawn" in 1000BC (wow! That's a long time ago)...
The figure is 374 feet in length and when I was there, I couldn't see a thing but some white powder-like stuff on the ground... I honestly didn't know that that was the drawing and was trampling all over the white chalk until some locals "warned" me... I felt so unbelievably foolish that I could have destroyed part of their historical relic...
The view from the hill was great. All around you are rolling hills and rapeseed fields at the horizon... Such bliss, such peace, such beauty.... |
