Umm...I'm not really into that kinda thing. I went to the Wax Museum in San Francisco years ago when I ws a kid and thought it was kind of cool. I hear Madam Tussaud's is by far the best, for that kind of thing. Kenny, check out the London thread on things to do when you're there. Sightseeing, shopping, good food, markets, art shows, live music, dancing, PUBS...How can ANYONE possibly get bored in London? |

I went to Madame Tussaud's the first time I went to London, back in 1983. I don't remember much of it other than that the part that impressed me was the dungeon :)
The last time I was in London I went to the Museum of the City of London. I'm can't recall where it's located -- it was either near Barbican Centre or on the south side of the Thames. It has a lot of "walk through" exhibits of what life was like in Roman times, the Middle ages, etc etc. The most interesting part to me were the sections on the London Blitz. Interesting and shocking at the same time. This museum is totally worth checking out. |

madame tussaud is an overpriced tourist trap - on top of it filled with hordes of kids.
Wouldn't advice - you have plenty of world famous free museums here in London. |
