Hello,

I have booked a cruise trip on Cunard Line (Queen Mary 2 is the boat's name). Unfortunately, they don't do shared accomodation nor do they have single cabin... i.e. if you cannot get someone to go with you, you have to pay as if it was 2 people.....so I'm looking for someone that is interested to go since I paid for 2 people.
It comes to 845USD per person. If you are intersted or you know someone who is let me know. The price includes food, accomodation, all taxes and port fees and is negotiable. The cruise leaves New York May 28th and arrives in England on June 3rd. This is a direct cruise to England (i.e. no stops). However, Queen Mary 2 is the largest boat in the world and there's lots that one can do on the cruise. For more info you can check out http://www.cunard.com/QM2/
If you are intersted, let me know..... Thanx.

Looks like it's non-stop, David.

So, OneAdrian, you're looking for a cabin-mate? Hmm. Cozy, perhaps, in a room on a cruise ship! That certainly is one luxury cruise. The QM2 has quite a good reputation for its luxury cruises. Just why did you choose to take that route, when there would be no stops along the way? Fill us in!

I chose it because I don't like flying.... I am also returning on June26th on QM2 but one of my buddies is actually able to cruise also on that date.

If you have the time to spare, I guess that's the way to go! Good luck finding a roomie and have a fun voyage!

My mom & dad went on the QM 2 last year. They took one of the most inexpensive cabins and reported that they were comfortable and had a very good time.

The QM 2 is interesting -- people think it's super luxurious but the accomodations actually range from TINY cabins to MASSIVE 3,000 square foot suites. The brocheures and the Travel Channel specials focus on the luxe end, but it's not all like that. Basically the bigger the cabin you reserve, on the higher the deck, and the closest to midships, the more expensive it will be.

When I was 18 my mom & I took the QE 2 from Southhampton to New York. Our cabin was so small that it had bunk beds -- and the top bunk folded up into the wall during the day. I had loads of fun, though, and even met a younger brother of the previous King of Jordan. He was travelling in first class and was bored and so was "slumming" in "Transatlantic" class (a nice name for third class) when he met me and a couple of other girls who were hanging out together. He bought us champagne (Dom Perignon, of course) and invited us to visit him on his yacht in the Mediterranean. My mom took a meeting with his bodyguard/valet, and told him no I could not go. I guess she was afraid I'd be added to some harem or something. She was probably right!

Oh, to be 18 again.... :)

One more note...I don't know how old you are, but if you're under 60 be prepared to be one of the younger people on board. When my parents went last June, they said that except for a few young kids who were travelling with their grandparents, they were among the youngest people on board. And my mom is 63 and my dad is 64!!!! They said that the average age must have been about 80. It makes the nightlife rather, um, sedate.
