From April 2nd till April 9th in Italy the "Settimana della Cultura" will take place, for the 8th time. During this week a huge list of national museums and galleries all over Italy will be free: yes, no entrance fee! And even private museums or galleries will apply reduced fees. The list of public museums that will be part of this event is just too long to be listed here: it suffices to remember that ALL public museums will be free during that week. Just to mention a few examples, you will be able to enter the Uffizi gallery for free. In particular at present there is a wonderful exhibition devoted to Leonardo definitely worth a visit. Other special (and free) events will be "Mozart at Pitti Palace" or a visit at the Palatine Chapel (both at Palazzo Pitti). Furthermore you will be able to witness the extraordinary opening of the "Chiostro of S. Domenico"(Museum of S.Marco, although only 7th, 8th and 9th of April). Not only that: you can access to the Grottos of Boboli Gardens (free reservation required and available only the 5th and the 6th of April).
Well, these were only a very few examples of what will take place in Florence and all over Italy during the dates above mentioned.
As we often read posts about museum reservations, well for a week lots of events/museums/galleries all over Italy will be FREE. |
