I'm going to China for my first time this summer and don't know a word of Chinese! But I've heard about this gadget that translates English to Chinese, I think it's by a place called Oppo. Has anyone heard anything about it? If it's pretty good, I was thinking of taking it with me. Let me know if you know anything about it! Thanks!

They'll speak Englsih in most places frequented by tourists. If you feel like venturing off on your own there are zillion sof guides, many of them uni students wanting desperately to practice their English.
