Of all the National Parks you've seen in the US and Canada, which is your favorite and why?
Though there are many I have not seen, the Grand Canyon is still, for me, the most incredible thing I have ever seen. The distances are amazing, as well as the diversity in geology, plant life and animal life. I was only able to view it for about 4 hours, but it will always be a great memory, and I hope to go and visit it again soon. |

Death Valley. It's mind-boggling. Plants, animals, and people really can exist there, in small numbers. A rich man built a mansion there, out in the desert. You can see snow from the desert floor. And I had the best chicken-fried steak ever at the Furnace Creek Ranch.
I've never been to the Grand Canyon...next trip!!!!!! |

| I think I've been to all of them, as I spent a great deal of time camping with my family as a kid. As an adult, Muir Woods has left me with nice memories... |

I've been to plenty of "no-name" national parks in North America, but my fav (having not been to the Grand Canyon) is one of the famous ones: Yellowstone. It's so beautiful with such unique features like all of the geological oddities, and you can go fishing, see Old Faithful, see wildlife, see the natural devastation of the fires that they had there, and the renewal of life by all the teeny tiny trees that are regrowing.
It really makes you feel more in touch with nature.
It's too bad about the pollution problems, but people are working the issue, at least. |
