If you are travelling to the Caribbean between 1st Feb - 15th May ' 07, please be aware that you may need a visa if you will be visiting any of the islands listed below. The visa is expensive US$100 and according to the website link, may take upto four weeks! This new temporary visa requirement is to do with the Cricket World Cup 2007. (Hopefully it will only be temporary!) Even if you are not attending the Cricket World Cup, you will still need one! Some websites gave the first date as 15 January, but this has changed. Do visit the official website for confirmation/clarification.

Official Website: http://www.caricomimpacs.org/

From Virgin Atlantic's website: http://www.timaticweb.com/cgi-bin/tim_client.cgi?ExpertMode=TINEWS/N14&user=VSB2C&subuser=VSB2C

Islands visas will be required for:

Antigua & Barbuda
Barbados
Dominica
Grenada
Guyana
Jamaica
St. Kitts & Nevis
Saint Lucia
St. Vincent & The Grenadines
Trinidad & Tobago
Nationals of all countries require the CARICOM Special Visa to enter the Single Domestic Space during the period 1st February to 15th May 2007 except nationals from the following countries and their overseas countries and territories:

Canada
France & OCTs
Germany
Japan
Ireland
Nationals and Residents of CARICOM Member States (Except Haiti)
Italy
South Africa
Spain
The Netherlands & OCTs

and any other nationals who already enjoy before 1st February 2007, a form of status conferred by any of the immigration authorities of the 10 countries which form the Single Domestic Space and which status covers the period of the persons intended stay in that Single Domestic Space.
