5 Key Statistics For The Busiest Travel Weekend Of The Year
By Frank Lawson
============================================================
The holidays are approaching us at break-neck speed and the
roads, gas pumps and airports are providing the proof.
1.Nearly 32 million automobile travelers are expected to hit the road.
Travel by car is rated as the number 3 worst way to travel during the
holiday weekend, but still remains as one of the most popular ways to
get to "Dad's Famous Fried Turkey".
2.Pump Your Own Gas At The Average Price Of $2.23/gallon
All though the roads are busy and many families are car pooling, gas pumps
are still not giving ride-share or buy-in-bulk discounts but are remaining
consistant in average fuel cost.
3.Congradulations to the Southeast
Our Southeasterners have the highest stats for the "Most Auto Travelers In The United
States" for Thanksgiving.AAA is reporting that outrageous gas prices are not
discouraging these folks.
4.ATL has the Stats in the Busiest Airport Catagory
Atlanta, Georgia has the busiest airport around reports the FAA.Although several airports
across the country have adapted the new CLEAR security check point for travelers, ATL has
taken it's own measures to speed up the process of security checks while maintaining and
ensuring passenger safety.
5.Don't bring your favorite drink from home
As TSA is working to lighten airport security policies, you still can' bring your favorite
drink on board your holiday flight.Statisics show that many travelers are still unclear of
the can's and cant's while flying during the holidays.
With all the excitement surrounding the holiday travel, be sure that you never leave your
luggage unattended.
