Well, it depends...are you looking for adventure, or just a sight seeing tour? Cause if you are looking for adventure, then you definately have to hire a 4 Wheel Drive and tour around the Northern Territory.
There are a few things you have to be careful of though if you do decide to go:
1. Make sure you have plenty of water.
2. Dont' travel alone
3. Don't swim in the rivers, they might be full of crocodiles. Also, don't sleep near any river banks, or near the Ocean...they tend to travel at night and look for food :?
4. Take heaps of Mosquito repelent, or better, take a mosquito net
5. If you are sleeping outside, make sure that you dig a small 10-15cm trench around your tent just incase it rains in the middle of the night...it can happen!
6. If you plan on fishing, make sure you don't catch any Turtles and if you do, put them back, it is illegal to catch turtles in NT.
That is all i can think of, but ohhhh be careful of the wild boars...lol
So you can see, Northern Territory is great for an adventure and if you like animals and sleeping in the open, then this is the place for you. |
