I took my first real vacation last summer and it was to the Outer Banks. I have to say that it was a lot of fun to visit but I couldn't imagine actually living there.

The houses in the area we were in were gorgeous but the idea of having to live in a house on stilts because of flooding is really scary. We actually had a couple of days where the beach was off limits because the tide was so high.

Has anyone else ever been there?
