Very Happy Hello!! I'm a new member of this forum and I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Candlelight and I really love travelling. I`ve been to Uruguay, Belgium, France, the Neatherlands, England and Denmark and I have lots of anecdotes to share with you. I promise to be posting frequently!!

I've only been to Brussels and Oostende. I used to like Brussels but I was kind of put off the other day by a really rude shopkeeper in Godiva on the Grand Place. So I didn't buy anything in her store (Godiva is owned by Cambpell's Soup anyway, so why do they think they're so darn special -- I can get them at the mall down the street from where I live in the US). I then went next door and got a very nice piece of dark chocolate filled with wild strawberry from Neuhaus.

That said, Brussels is great for walking around in -- I love looking at all the intricate wrought iron. The first time I was there was during tulip season, and there were flowers blooming everywhere.

Yes!! Brussels is wonderful and I remember that I also had a sad experience with a shopkeeper in Godiva. Happened to find excellent Belgian chocolate just around the corner!!!

Not really, since most of my traveling was before I started (A) photography, and (B) anthropology. Talk about missed oportunities... Confused Laughing
